Meeting Family Members . . .
finding 'lost' cousins, making
a connection, getting to know each other and
becoming friends . . . what a great
way to overcome some of the impersonal aspects of 21st century life, and to find again the kinship bonds which kept our ancestors close.
I think they're proud
of us, for finding each other.

Of the 50 grandchildren of William Kelker Marshall and Anna Mary Rumbarger of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania, only Alene Marshall Steve
was living in August 2007. Her parents, Henry Frank Marshall and Sarah Jane Wilkins, moved to the Northwest in the early
1900s. In this picture, I'm showing her a photograph of W. K. Marshall, her grandfather whom she never knew. Alene
lives near her family in the state of Washington. See more, below left, about my August 2007 trip to the Northwest.
